We’re excited to share that we’ve started a new record label! Much love to our friends & family whom have helped motivate, inspire, and support us as we chase our dreams. We’re looking forward to sharing our sound and creating vibes because we believe that music has the ability to bring people together. We also hope to discover and nurture the next generation of exceptional artists who will leave a lasting impact on the world of music. We have a decades-long history in the EDM scene. We both discovered our love for drum&bass/jungle in the days where junglists were shoved off into an extra room at the club and raving had not been legalized/monetized to the extent that it is today. Cat’s first love was ‘jump-up’ leading her to choose the moniker DJ Roo. Justin leaned more toward the tech step & neurofunk. Together we bring a high-energy sound combining the dark bass lines with soulful vocals. When house is on the menu, we play/produce bass or tech house. The d&b influence is always present. BassCrate is a culmination of our vision for the future of dance music, and a love letter to the scene that got us here.
